The Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM) has launched two public consultations on its website.

The first one (http://www.agcom.it/default.aspx?DocID=5766) regards the results of the survey on the “guaranties for consumers and competition safeguard with reference to the VoIP and peer-to-peer service on mobile networks”, which the AGCOM carried out on December 2009. The goal of the consultation is to analyze the commercial dynamics which govern the mobile communications market in the light of the new technologies, evaluating the possible economic and regulatory implications.

The second one (http://www.agcom.it/default.aspx?DocID=5770 )concerns the neutrality of the Internet and the principles that should govern it. The Authority is seeking to understand the evolution of the data traffic market, the current technological scenarios, the features of the new services and the possible regulatory impacts that they may have on the neutrality of the Internet.

Stakeholders can send their contributions to the Authority for both the above consultations by certified e-mail (agcom@cert.agcom.it) or registered letter with return receipt(Autorità per le garanzie nelle comunicazioni, Direzione Studi, ricerca e formazione - dott. Paolo Alagia - Direzione Tutela dei Consumatori -  ing. Federico Flaviano - Centro direzionale, Torre Francesco, Isola B5) by 04 May 2011 (for the first consultation) and by 07 May 2011 (for the second one).

More updates to come.
